The most resounding demonstration of the worldwide condemnation of the criminal U.S. blockade on Cuba – initiated in 1961 – was the vote of the rest of the world -179 nations -rejecting this genocidal action, against the vote of the US itself, Israel, Marshall Islands and Palau that defended it. In response to the global unanimity, the U.S. intensified its actions against the Caribbean island
